Blackie was abandoned in a feral colony. He was estimated to be 9 years old when he came to Cat Tales. A previous Cat Tales adopter was looking for an older cat and was introduced to Blackie. It was love at first sight! When she took him to the vet it was discovered he needed all his teeth removed and he had some heart issues. But the new owner and Blackie adored each other. She sang to him and they danced around the living room. However, the owner's health began to decline, and she realized she couldn’t care for Blackie. Blackie came back to Cat Tales and was found to have more health concerns. Bills for medical care, prescription food and meds cost is nearly $8000!
